Buffalo trailed the 1964 AFL Championship Game 7-0, and San Diego was driving again when QB Tobin Rote floated a swing pass to RB Keith Lincoln in the left flat. As Lincoln reached for the ball, Bills LB Mike Stratton delivered a crushing blow that separated Lincoln from the ball and knocked the Chargers' star out of the game. After the game-changing blow, the Bills scored 20 unanswered points to win their first AFL title 20-7.
